Why This Study Matters

Reclaiming a Cross-Shaped Faith in a Culture of Influence

Every Christian is called to be a witness — not just in words, but in character, choices, posture, and hope. Yet we live in a world that constantly shapes us, forms us, and disciples us in ways we barely notice.

These forces can create "reasonable doubt" about the gospel, not because Christ has changed, but because our witness has grown distracted or pulled off center. This study invites you to return to the heart of Christian witness — to become someone whose life simply tells the truth about Jesus.

About the Study

Strengthening Christian Witnessin a World of Reasonable Doubt

Your witness is one of the most powerful tools God has given you — but it can be weakened by influences you barely notice. Modern life is filled with forces that subtly "tamper" with Christian witness: social habits, political pressures, cultural expectations, digital patterns, and personal blind spots.

This study invites believers to examine the forces that shape their identity and to reclaim a witness formed by Scripture, rooted in Christ, and lived with clarity and integrity.

Witness Tampering helps readers identify these influences and replace them with Spirit led practices that reflect Christ with integrity. This study offers a path toward a witness that is resilient, trustworthy, and unmistakably Christlike.

The 8-Week Overview

An 8-Week Bible Study for Deepening Christian Character, Clarity, and Credibility

Each session builds toward a witness shaped by Scripture, strengthened by practice, and rooted in Christ alone.

1

Week 1 — What Is a Witness?

Jesus doesn't call us to be experts or spiritual salespeople — He calls us to be witnesses. This week lays the foundation by exploring the biblical meaning of witness and the courtroom imagery that helps us understand our role in God's mission.

2

Week 2 — The Shape of Christian Witness

Christian witness is more than words; it's the pattern of a life shaped by the cross. This week focuses on how love, humility, integrity, and gospel centered living form a witness the world can see.

3

Week 3 — The Challenges of Christian Witness

Faithful witness isn't easy. Fear, fatigue, discouragement, and pressure can weaken our resolve. This week names those challenges honestly and points us again to the hope that sustains persevering witnesses.

4

Week 4 — Witness Tampering: How Culture Distorts Christian Identity

Culture is never neutral. Its stories and habits can quietly reshape our identity until our witness becomes cloudy or unrecognizable. This week helps us recognize those subtle influences and reclaim an identity rooted in Christ alone — preparing us to look more closely at politics, greed, and social media in the weeks ahead.

5

Week 5 — Politics: When Public Loyalties Distort Christian Witness

Politics shapes how we see the world and how others see us. When political loyalties overshadow our loyalty to Christ, our witness suffers. This week explores how politics disciples us and what it means to let the gospel set the tone for our lives.

6

Week 6 — Greed: When Desire Warps Christian Witness

Greed is about more than money — it's about what shapes our hearts. Culture tells us we are what we own, and that security comes from having more. This week examines how desire forms us and how the gospel reshapes our understanding of blessing, generosity, and success.

7

Week 7 — Social Media: When Digital Habits Shape Christian Witness

Social media forms habits of thought, speech, and identity — often without us noticing. If it disciples us more than Scripture does, our witness becomes reactive and performative. This week helps us pay attention to our digital patterns and invites us to let the gospel shape every post, comment, and reaction.

8

Week 8 — Witness Restored: Living Out a Faithful Christian Witness

After examining the forces that distort witness, this final week turns toward restoration and hope. What does a clear, resilient, Christ shaped witness look like in real life? This week invites us to craft a pattern of life rooted in truth, love, and courage — trusting the Spirit to sustain us as we step into the world as faithful witnesses.
